At CVSU our mission is to strengthen the voluntary sector in Uttlesford to enable it to:
- deliver effective Services
- benefit through funds from a range of sources
- be effectively managed
- work in partnership to develop a cohesive voluntary sector with a creative and lively voice
- for the ongoing benefit of the local community
- Our membership is open to voluntary and community groups and individuals
OUR MAIN FUNCTIONS
- Support and strengthening of local voluntary groups
- Representation of the local voluntary sector through membership consultation
- Partnership working on behalf of the voluntary sector with the statutory bodies on strategic planning issues
- Liaison to co-ordinate activity, eradicate overlap and enable effective joint working
- Development of services to cater for unmet need
CVS Uttlesford is working in partnership with Voluntary Sector Training (VST), an independent charity,
to provide high quality, affordable and local training to the voluntary and community sector across Essex. VST
runs an open programme of training covering key topics relevant to the sector and tailored training specifically
